These faces work for original Volvo 52 mm (2 1/16") gauges
(which are made by VDO)
You can also convert any other VDO Cockpit** 52 mm gauge
(VDO, Audi, VW, Porsche, etc.)
**VDO Cockpit gauges are identified by faces that are lighted
 using a rear bulb that is reflected around the outer edges.

OT150CW: Volvo Oil Temperature Gauge
The Oil Temp gauge was a Volvo accessory
available for the 240.  This white face is available
in 150 Degree Centigrade or 300 Degree Fahrenheit.
The Fahrenheit and Centrigrade faces are
interchangeable too, which means you can convert one
simply by applying a different face overlay. 
OT150CB: Also a BLACK face is available to convert your original
Fahrenheit gauge to read in Centigrade.

Centigrade gauge to read in Fahrenheit.

VDO-30-0-15W: "30-0-15" TURBO GAUGE by VDO
This is the popular 52 mm VDO Cockpit
"30-0-15" Turbo Gauge that VDO offered
in black face only.
This face is also available with "bar" scale shown below.

VDO Boost Gauges

VDO-30-0-20-W1: VDO "30-0-20" TURBO GAUGE (Type 1)
This is a "30-0-20" Boost Gauge made by VDO (PN 150-121D).  Again,
VDO never offered this one with a White face, but now you can have one.

 
 
 

VDO-30-0-20-W2: VDO "30-0-20" TURBO (Type 2) 
Same gauge as above, but this face has a little different design
for the outer number indicator lines.

 
   

This is a white face for the VDO Cockpit 25 PSI boost gauge.

240T30-0-20W: VOLVO (OEM) 240 TURBO GAUGE
At left is a conversion face for the most common factory 240 Turbo Boost Gauge. This is the gauge with the narrow yellow band.
Most of these gauges, when tested without any modification, are found to be calibrated as follows:
Vacuum limit pin: 25 In Hg
At yellow/red line: about 10 PSI
Upper boost pin: about 25 PSI

By simply repositioning the needle, you will be able to achieve a balanced and nice looking "30-0-20" gauge like the one show to the left.. 

CAUTION: I do not recommend doing this conversion with the later WIDE YELLOW BAND gauge shown at left. 
The calibration is different with this gauge (who knows why) and it has been measured as follows:
Vacuum limit pin: 22 In Hg
At yellow/red line: about 12 PSI
Upper boost pin: about 18-19 PSI

Here are some more conversions available for the narrow yellow band turbo gauge.

240T-1.5BarBlue: VOLVO (OEM) 240 TURBO GAUGE
1.5 bar conversion.  Can be made in other colors.

Same stock turbo gauge as above.  This conversion face will fit your
factory 240 Turbo Boost Gauge and provide a horizontal zero to the left. 
You will need to turn your gauge 90 degrees when mounting.

240T30-0-20tiltW: VOLVO (OEM) "30-0-20" TILTED 240 TURBO GAUGE
Same as above, except R-Sport logo added.

240T30-0-20tiltB: Black Face for VOLVO (OEM) "30-0-20" TILTED 240 TURBO GAUGE

Also available with R-Sport logo in place of "VOLVO Turbo".

This face will convert your factory 240 Turbo
Boost Gauge to one that is a reproduction of the
factory face in white. 

240TW2: **Optional "Wider-Yellow Band" (not shown) This face replicates the wider yellow band on gauges found in later factory intercooled 240's.
   
 
  

240TRB1: R-SPORT BOOST - BLACK FACE. 
This is a reproduction face of the VERY rare
R-Sport Turbo gauge offered by Volvo
in their accessory catalogs in the eighties.

240TRB2: **Optional "Wider-Yellow Band" (not shown) This face replicates the wider yellow band on gauges found in later factory intercooled 240's.
 

   
  240TRW1: Reproduction R-SPORT BOOST - WHITE FACE.
This face is the same as the R-Sport face
above except as a white face.

240TRW2: Reproduction R-SPORT BOOST - WHITE FACE.
**Optional "Wider-Yellow Band" is

yellow band on factory gauges found in
1984 and later factory intercooled 240's.
 

AMCW:

AMFW: AMBIENT TEMPERATURE (F) WHITE FACE

A full BLACK face with white text to convert your Centigrade gauge to read in Fahrenheit.

A full BLACK face with white text to convert your BLACK Fahrenheit gauge to read in Centigrade.

ECOW: VOLVO FUEL ECONOMY/VACUUM GAUGE
Also available with the word "Vacuum" above the sweep indicator.

A NOTE OF CAUTION regarding disassembling this gauge:
The disassembly of this gauge will likely present a problem.  It is constructed similar to the Volvo 240 Turbo Boost gauge,  however the problem is that the needle is very difficult to remove.  Normal procedures that work well for all other gauges do not  work for this one.  An effort to pull the needle from this gauge may result in irreparable damage to the internal mechanism.

The Solution (Illustrated instructions are included on this procedure):
The solution is to leave the needle in place after opening the gauge housing per instructions.  Then you will to slit the white face vertically with a razor or Exacto knife below the needle hole to the bottom edge of the face.  Be sure to use a very sharp razor so that the cut is clean and thin.  The cleaner the cut, the more invisible it will be upon completion.  Finally, slip the white face on under the needle.  This will obviously take a steady hand once you have put adhesive on the face.

CLOCK75-80 R-Sport Yellow Text:
Face for center dash clock in 1975-80 240/260.
This version converts the clock to appear the same as the R-Sport main gauge pod.






CLOCK 164 White:
Not really a 52mm face, but I'll put it here anyway.  This is the face for the large clock in a 164.
Approx 70 mm.

Here are some custom faces I made for the 52 mm gauges
 to match an R-Sport Gauge Style

*NOTE: VDO Cockpit gauges are manufactured in the same way as most OEM Volvo 240 gauges.
They use solid metal face plates with front lighted (reflected) faces.  Back-lighted gauge faces,
with translucent faces, such as on the new VDO Vision series, cannot be converted with these white faces.
